Basketball Game Preview: Redmond Mustangs vs. Skyline Spartans

Redmond is 2-8 against Skyline since January of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Redmond Mustangs will be playing in front of their home fans against the Skyline Spartans at 6:00 p.m. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Redmond comes in on 11 and Skyline on five.

Redmond will bounce into Friday's game after beating Issaquah, who they had gone 0-9 against in their nine prior meetings. Redmond narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past Issaquah 57-54. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Mustangs have posted since January 24, 2024.

Meanwhile, Skyline was fully in charge on Wednesday, breezing past Renton 72-19. The matchup marked the Spartans' most dominant win of the season.

Skyline's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-3. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.8 points per game. As for Redmond, their win bumped their record up to 11-0.

Everything went Redmond's way against Skyline when the teams last played back in January of 2024, as Redmond made off with a 61-38 victory. Will Redmond repeat their success, or does Skyline have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
