Softball Recap: Bloom-Carroll Picks Up Fifth Straight Win at Home

Bloom-Carroll put another one in the bag on Monday to keep their perfect season alive. Everything went their way against the Hamilton Township Rangers as Bloom-Carroll made off with a 12-2 victory. That's two games straight that the Bulldogs have won by exactly ten runs.

Emma Brandt was a major factor no matter where she played. She tossed five innings while giving up just two earned runs off six hits. What's more, she posted four strikeouts, the most she's had since back in April of 2024. She was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 1-for-3.

In other batting news, Bloom-Carroll got a big performance out of Madelyn Gates, who scored two runs while going 3-for-4. That's the most hits Gates has posted since back in April of 2024. Addison Brown was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-3.

Bloom-Carroll hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now struck out at most five strikeouts in six consecutive matches dating back to last season.

Bloom-Carroll's win was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 3-0. As for Hamilton Township, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-4.

Coincidentally, Bloom-Carroll and Hamilton Township will both be playing Circleville the next time they take the field. Hamilton Township will head out to face Circleville at 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday, while Bloom-Carroll will host them at 5:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
