Football Recap: Soddy Daisy Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Soddy Daisy extended their losing streak to three on Friday, dropping them down to 3-3. They were outmatched by the Walker Valley Mustangs and fell 35-7. While losing is never fun, the Trojans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee football rankings (they are ranked 108th, while the Mustangs are ranked 30th).

As for Walker Valley, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 5-1. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four contests by 25 points or more this season.

It was another big night for Cason Cunningham, who rushed for 136 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 7.6 yards per carry. Those two rushing touchdowns gave him a new career-high. Roman Eulo was in the mix as well, providing Walker Valley with two TDs.

Looking ahead, Soddy Daisy will host Ooltewah at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Trojans will be up against the Owls' rather soft defense (which has allowed 41.17 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Walker Valley, they will head out on the road to challenge East Hamilton at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Mustangs will need to watch out since the Hurricanes have now posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season.
