Volleyball Recap: Bryan Comes Up Short

Bryan was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to the Grand Island Islanders.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-8, 25-16, 25-8.

Leading Grand Island to victory were Irelynn Sughroue and Alexa Sackschewsky. Sughroue had six digs and four aces, while Sackschewsky had 15 assists and two aces. That's the most aces Sughroue has posted over her last eight matches.

Bryan's loss dropped their record down to 2-29. As for Grand Island, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-22.

Bryan does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Grand Island, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 defeat against Marian on the 28th.
