Volleyball Recap: Plano East Panthers vs. Martin Warriors
It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Plano East had no problem doing just that on Friday. They put the hurt on the Martin Warriors with a sharp 3-0 victory. Winning may never get old, but the Panthers sure are getting used to it with their eighth in a row.
While Plano East won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. The final score came out to 25-20, 25-23, 25-21.
Plano East found their leader in sophomore Dakota Huynh, who had 24 digs. Huynh is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 11 or more in the last 17 games she's played.
Plano East has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 15 of their last 16 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 33-8 record this season. As for Martin, they moved to 32-11 with that defeat, which also ended their 18-game winning streak.
Plano East is on the road again on Monday to play Keller at 7:00 p.m. Keller will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something Plano East surely won't give up without a fight. Martin does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
