Recap: Stafford vs. Columbia
The Stafford Spartans lost against the Columbia Roughnecks back in March of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. Stafford fell just short of Columbia by a score of 2-1. Stafford has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Stafford's loss dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Columbia, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 10-3-3 record this season.
Stafford will look to defend their home pitch on Saturday against Sweeny at 10:00 a.m. Sweeny is coming into the contest with three straight losses on the road, meaning Stafford will have to defend against a squad hungry for a win. As for Columbia, they will face off against Iowa Colony at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Iowa Colony is on a three-game streak of home wins, Columbia a three-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the pitch.
