Basketball Game Preview: Carver Tigers vs. Spencer Greenwave

Carver is on a 12-game streak of home wins (dating back to last season), while Spencer is on a five-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Carver Tigers will welcome the Spencer Greenwave at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Carver knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past 19 contests -- so hopefully Spencer likes a good challenge.

Carver is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Saturday. They blew past Burke County 75-54. The Tigers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 21 matches by 21 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Spencer narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past Crisp County 51-49.

Carver is on a roll lately: they've won 19 of their last 20 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 26-2 record this season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 42.4 points. Spencer's win bumped their record up to 21-7.
