Meanwhile, Shawnee Mission North didn't have too much trouble with Sumner Academy last Friday as they won 46-32. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Bison.

Shawnee Mission North's victory ended a seven-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 5-7. As for Olathe East, their win bumped their record up to 3-8.

Everything came up roses for Olathe East against Shawnee Mission North in their previous matchup back in January of 2024, as the team secured a 50-22 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Olathe East since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
