Preview: Randolph County Tigers vs. Dadeville Tigers
The Randolph County Tigers will head out on the road to face off against the Dadeville Tigers at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. Randolph County will be strutting in after a win while Dadeville will be coming in after a defeat.
Even though Randolph County has not done well against Cleburne County recently (they were 1-7 in their previous eight matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. Randolph County took down Cleburne County 57-42. The win was a breath of fresh air for Randolph County as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.
Randolph County can attribute much of their success to Talee Sims, who dropped a double-double on 25 points and 17 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Brantlee Wortham, who scored 13 points.
Meanwhile, Dadeville couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They were outmatched by Central of Coosa County at home and fell 51-24. Dadeville was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 32-10.
The losses dropped both teams to an identical 2-3.
Everything came up roses for Randolph County against Dadeville in their previous matchup back in January as the squad secured a 61-31 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Randolph County since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
