Volleyball Recap: Lexington Wildcats vs. Gilbert Indians

Lexington was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 2-0 to the Gilbert Indians. If the Wildcats were looking for revenge after losing 2-1 to the Indians when the teams met back in September of 2019, then they'll just have to keep looking.

While Lexington was not able to win a set, they sure kept things interesting: every set was decided by exactly two points. The match finished with set scores of 26-24, 25-23.

Lexington's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Gilbert, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Coincidentally, Lexington and Gilbert will both be playing Lugoff-Elgin the next time they take the court. The Wildcats will head out to face the Demons at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Indians will play them later in the day, at 7:00 p.m.
