Football Recap: Evansville Bosse Comes Up Short

Evansville Bosse played a tough contest on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They had to suffer through a 56-6 loss at the hands of the Evansville Memorial Tigers. While losing is never fun, the Bulldogs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Indiana football rankings (they are ranked 237th, while the Tigers are ranked 32nd).

Evansville Memorial's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Luke Brown led the charge by throwing for 163 yards and four TDs while completing 80% of his passes. The dominant performance also gave Brown a new career-high in passer rating (160.4). Another pass catcher making a difference was Luke Dockery, who picked up 105 receiving yards and a pair of touchdowns.

Evansville Bosse's loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Evansville Memorial, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 6-0.

Meanwhile, Evansville Memorial will square off against rival Evansville Reitz at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. That matchup will pit two of the most dominant backs against one another: Dylen Kendrick and Amyr Wilford.
