Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Genoa Area). Everything went their way against the Rossford Bulldogs on Tuesday as the Genoa Area Comets made off with a 65-40 win. Given the Comets' advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 120th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 426th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Genoa Area's victory was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-1. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 19.5 points. As for Rossford, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-5.

Genoa Area will be home for the holidays to greet Start at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. Start will roll in looking for their ninth straight win, something Genoa Area surely won't give up without a fight. Rossford and Waite will compete for holiday cheer at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Rossford is facing Waite at the right time seeing as Waite is stuck on a five-game losing streak.
