Softball Recap: Liberal Comes Up Short in High-Profile Game with Great Bend

Liberal faced Great Bend in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. The Redskins fell 10-6 to the Panthers. The Redskins just can't catch a break and have now endured four defeats in a row.

Liberal now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Great Bend, they pushed their record up to 10-1 with the victory, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Liberal will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Cimarron at 4:00 p.m. on May 1. As for Great Bend, they will challenge Dodge City at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Panthers are facing the Demons at the right time seeing as the Demons are stuck on a seven-game losing streak.
