Cory-Rawson gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Wednesday. They never let the Pandora-Gilboa Rockets get on the board and left with an 8-0 victory. This was payback for the Fighting Hornets, who suffered a 12-0 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Cory-Rawson let Dom Moon and Hunter Cosart run wild. Moon scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-4, while Cosart scored two runs and stole three bases while going 1-for-3. Those two runs gave Cosart a new career-high. Mason Hall was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Cory-Rawson will challenge Columbus Grove at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Pandora-Gilboa, they will venture away from home to take on Bluffton at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
