The Greybull Buffaloes will head out on the road to face off against the Tongue River Eagles at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Greybull is coming into the match hot, having won their last six games.
Greybull took a three-set defeat the last time they faced off against Hot Springs County, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Buffaloes narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Bobcats 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Buffaloes have posted since September 12th.
Greybull was dominant in they sets they won, taking each by at least 11 points. The match finished with set scores of 23-25, 23-25, 25-12, 25-14, 15-4.

Greybull can attribute much of their success to Sherlyn Diaz Rios, who had 12 digs, and Marlee Henson, who had nine kills, six blocks, and five digs. Those 12 digs gave Diaz Rios a new career-high. Shayne Cheatham also deserves some recognition as she had her first kill of the season.
Greybull was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 14 aces. That's the most aces they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, Tongue River faced Sundance in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Eagles fell just short of the Bulldogs by a score of 3-2. The loss continues a trend for the Eagles in their meetings with the Bulldogs: they've now lost three in a row.
In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, Tongue River sadly dropped the once that decided the match. The final score came out to 25-13, 23-25, 25-22, 25-27, 15-8.
Tongue River's defeat dropped their record down to 17-7. As for Greybull, their record now sits at 12-8.
