Montgomery was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from fourth to second in Metro - Pacific. Earlier in the week, the Aztecs triumphed over Southwest 21-7.
Castle Park's dynamic duo of Juan Luna and Darian Harraway proved tough for Hoover to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Luna threw for 55 yards and one touchdown and Harraway had 21 yards receiving. David Anderson helped Castle Park's passing attack out by catching three balls for 21 yards.
Charles Williams was the most productive running back in the league this week. He ran for 172 yards on 13 carries as Montgomery fell to the Cardinals. Marcos Mathis also contributed to the rushing game with 95 yards on the ground.
On the ground, Ted Jarumayan's team's Williams has rushed for 367 yards which leads the league. The leading receiver in the league this season is Aust'n Morga. The Montgomery star has 15 catches for 191 yards.
Sweetwater fell 9-6 to Whittier in the closest game of the week.
