Shattuck came tearing into Tuesday's match with seven straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8.7 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They were the clear victors by a 13-1 margin over the Laverne Tigers. The result was nothing new for the Indians, who have now won 12 contests by eight runs or more so far this season.

Shattuck pushed their record up to 15-2 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.0 runs over those games. As for Laverne, their defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-6.
