Baseball Recap: Downtown Doral Comes Up Short

Ransom Everglades hit Downtown Doral with a four-run second inning on Thursday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Dolphins came up short against the Raiders, falling 9-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Dolphins of the 14-4 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2025.

Downtown Doral saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Gus Rengifo, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base.

Downtown Doral's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Ransom Everglades, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-0.

Looking ahead, Downtown Doral will head out on the road to face off against Brito at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Ransom Everglades, they will welcome Riviera Prep at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
