Basketball Recap: South Point Red Raiders vs. Ashbrook Greenwave
South Point entered their tilt with Ashbrook on Tuesday with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. They strolled past the Ashbrook Greenwave with points to spare, taking the game 60-42. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 69-46 back in December of 2024.
Amya Graham continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 32 points and 13 boards. Sally Risk also deserves some recognition as she posted her first block of the season.
South Point smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive boards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Ashbrook only pulled down seven offensive rebounds.
Despite the loss, Ashbrook saw an underclassman step up: freshman Jakyra Sadler went 7 of 16 en route to 18 points in addition to seven steals and six rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Chloes Morales, who posted four points and three steals.
