Soccer Game Preview: American Leadership Academy vs. Batesburg-Leesville

The American Leadership Academy Patriots will venture away from home to face off against the Batesburg-Leesville Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

American Leadership Academy is likely headed into the contest with a focus on the second half, which is when things went downhill against Greenwood Christian on Tuesday. The Patriots fell just short of the Hawks by a score of 2-1. American Leadership Academy's defeat continues a trend for the squad, making it three in a row.

Their goal came courtesy of Evan Steffee, who's now up to seven this season.

Meanwhile, Batesburg-Leesville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 1-0 heartbreaker at the hands of Strom Thurmond.

Batesburg-Leesville's defeat dropped their record down to 1-8. As for American Leadership Academy, they now have a losing record of 6-7.
