Football Recap: Owen J. Roberts' Loss Ends Five-Game Winning Streak at Home

Owen J. Roberts dropped to 7-2 on Friday, ending the team's five-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season. They fell 21-9 to the Spring-Ford Rams. The matchup marked the Wildcats' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

As for Spring-Ford, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 5-4. Those wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 7.4 points on average over those games.

It was another big night for Brayden Hinkle, who rushed for 131 yards and one score. His rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his fourth straight game with at least 112 rushing yards.

Owen J. Roberts does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Spring-Ford, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Upper Perkiomen at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Indians' defense has only allowed 13.6 points per game this season, so the Rams' offense will have their work cut out for them.
