Volleyball Recap: Logan Calderon and Josiah Hernandez Secure Win for University

University not only won on Wednesday, but they posted their biggest win since March 13th. They blew past the Evans Trojans 3-0.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant University was: they took every set by at least ten points. The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-15, 25-10.

University was led to victory by Josiah Hernandez and Logan Calderon. Hernandez had eight digs and six aces, while Calderon had 27 assists. Those 27 assists gave Calderon a new career-high.

They weren't the only good server: University was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 12 aces. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their ace total in four consecutive matchups.

University's victory bumped their record up to 3-11. As for Evans, their defeat was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-6.

Looking ahead, University will be taking part in a tournament against Timber Creek at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Wolves will roll in looking for their 20th straight win, something the Cougars surely won't give up without a fight. As for Evans, they will challenge Wekiva at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
