Baseball Recap: Abingdon/Avon Takes a Loss

The Abingdon/Avon Tornadoes came up short against the Bureau Valley Storm on Saturday and fell 4-1. The game marked the Tornadoes' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Abingdon/Avon saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Alex Foutch, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run.

This is the second loss in a row for Abingdon/Avon and nudges their season record down to 7-6. As for Bureau Valley, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-4 record this season.

While Abingdon/Avon had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
