Carver waltzed into their game on Thursday with seven straight wins... but they left with eight. They really took it to the Kendrick Cherokees for the full four quarters, racking up a 103-34 victory. Given the Tigers' advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 40th, while the Cherokees are ranked 347th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Carver's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Tony Montgomery, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 11 assists. Montgomery has been hot, having also posted two or more steals the last eight times he's played. Izaian Da Cruz Rosegreen was another key player, going 9 of 12 en route to 19 points and seven rebounds.

Montgomery wasn't the only one working in the assists department: Carver was working as a unit and finished the game with 23 assists. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their assist total in three consecutive contests.

Carver pushed their record up to 16-2 with the win, which was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 84.5 points per game. As for Kendrick, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 12-7 record this season.

Carver didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, an 84-58 victory against Spencer on the 31st. Kendrick has also already played their next contest, a 57-45 loss against Sumter County on the 31st.
