Softball Recap: Sandy Valley Takes a Loss

Sandy Valley made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Claymont, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Cardinals fell just short of the Mustangs by a score of 5-3 on Wednesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Cardinals have suffered since March 31st.

This is the second loss in a row for Sandy Valley and nudges their season record down to 9-5-1. As for Claymont, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-7 record this season.

Sandy Valley has already played their next game, a 23-2 win against Hiland on the 24th. As for Claymont, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 1-0 defeat against Tuscarawas Central Catholic on the 25th.
