Softball Recap: Raymond Rams vs. Trinity Pioneers
Raymond let Trinity stack six runs on them in the first inning on Tuesday but luckily Raymond prevailed anyway. The Rams narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Pioneers 9-8. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 8-6 on May 5th.
The team relied heavily on Sophie Huynh, who went 3-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Paige Lemire also deserves some recognition as she scored her first run of the season.
Raymond has been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.7 runs over those games. As for Trinity, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-12.
