Basketball Recap: Brick Memorial Takes a Loss

Brick Memorial was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They lost to the Neptune Scarlet Fliers on the road by a 58-40 margin. The Mustangs were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Scarlet Fliers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January of 2024.

Brick Memorial's defeat dropped their record down to 7-7. As for Neptune, they pushed their record up to 9-2 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home.

Brick Memorial has already played their next contest, a 55-44 loss against Point Pleasant Boro on the 21st. As for Neptune, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 45-37 defeat against Wall Township on the 21st.
