Danville has gone 9-1 against Richwoods recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Saturday. The Vikings will square off against the Knights at 10:00 a.m. Danville hasn't scored more than two runs for three games straight, a trend the squad is eager to reverse.

Danville fell victim to Casey-Westfield and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They lost 6-0 to the Warriors.

Danville saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ava Foster, who went 2-for-3 with one triple. That triple was Foster's first of the season.

Delavan hit Richwoods with a four-run first inning on Tuesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Knights fell just short of the Panthers by a score of 9-7. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Knights have suffered since May 13, 2024.

Leah Shaffer was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 2-for-2 with three stolen bases and one run.

Richwoods has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last eight matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-14 record this season. As for Danville, their loss dropped their record down to 9-11.

Danville couldn't quite finish off Richwoods in their previous matchup back in May of 2024 and fell 11-9. Can the Vikings avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
