Soccer Recap: Middleburg Comes Up Short

After soaring to seven goals the game before, Middleburg was a bit more limited in their matchup on Friday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the P.K. Yonge Blue Wave. While losing is never fun, the Broncos can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida soccer rankings (they are ranked 440th, while the Blue Wave are ranked 217th).

Middleburg has traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-12-1 record this season. As for P.K. Yonge, their win was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-3-3.

Middleburg will face off against Columbia at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. P.K. Yonge does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
