Ocean View owes their defense a big pat on the back after their performance on Friday. They blew past the Santa Ana Valley Falcons 28-0. That looming 28-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Seahawks yet this season.

Dereon Oliney went supernova, rushing for 92 yards and one TD on only six carries.

Ocean View's run defense was locked in: Santa Ana Valley could only muster 1.7 yards per carry. The Seahawks' run defense has been on the up-and-up: they allowed 4.58 yards per carry earlier this season, but they've only allowed 7.43 on average over their last five games.

The win (which was Ocean View's sixth in a row) raised their record to 6-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 9.8 points on average over those games. As for Santa Ana Valley, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-6-1.
