Basketball Recap: Basic Triumphs

Basic won the last time they faced Bonanza and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Basic Wolves managed a 59-53 victory over the Bonanza Bengals.

Kelani Stafford was the offensive standout of the matchup as he went 8 for 12 en route to 17 points and six rebounds. Hunter McGory was another key player, putting up seven points along with five boards and three steals.

Basic smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 15 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in 22 consecutive games.

Basic's win bumped their record up to 11-13. As for Bonanza, they have also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-14 record this season.

As of now, neither Basic nor Bonanza have any future games scheduled.
