Softball Recap: Mountain View Takes a Loss

Mountain View extended their losing streak to four on Saturday, dropping them down to 14-13. They came up short against the Timpanogos Timberwolves, falling 9-0. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last three times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

As for Timpanogos, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 16-9. The result was nothing new for the Timberwolves, who have now won 11 contests by nine runs or more so far this season.

For Timpanogos' part, Shaylie Lang made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run over seven innings pitched. Lang was also stellar in the batter's box, going 1-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one home run the last three times she's played.

In other batting news, Kaleah Sao was a standout: she went 1-for-2 with one home run and three RBI. Eisley Bennett was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.

As of now, neither Mountain View nor Timpanogos have any future games scheduled.
