Recap: Caledonia-Mumford Raiders vs. Pavilion Golden Gophers
The Caledonia-Mumford Raiders's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their eighth straight defeat. They fell 62-51 to Pavilion. Caledonia-Mumford has not had much luck with Pavilion recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Caledonia-Mumford's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Donny Peet, who scored 18 points along with five rebounds and two steals, and Braeden Fonte who scored 11 points along with eight rebounds and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Nathan Doll, who scored eight points along with 12 rebounds.
Caledonia-Mumford has traveled a rocky road recently having lost 12 of their last 13 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-15 record this season. As for Pavilion, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 6-8.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Caledonia-Mumford will take on Keshequa at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Caledonia-Mumford is on a six-game streak of home losses, Keshequa a five-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck is about to change. As for Pavilion, their homestand continues as they prepare to take on Le Roy at 7:00 p.m. on February 12th. Le Roypresents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Pavilion in New York (Le Roy is ranked 154th, while Pavilion is ranked 625th).
