After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Gilmer County, Wirt County was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They never let the Paden City Wildcats get on the board and left with a 20-0 win. That 20 run margin sets a new team best for the Tigers this season.

Adi Smith made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She struck out nine batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and not a single walk). Smith was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with four stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs. Those three RBI gave her a new career-high.
