Volleyball Recap: Buffalo Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Buffalo was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Douglas Bearcats. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bearcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in September.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 23-25, 25-13, 25-19.

Avery Paulson paced Buffalo's offense, picking up nine kills. Paulson got some help from Rhemy Hicks and her 18 assists. Emily Clason and Hannah Zink kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with two aces apiece.

Leading Douglas to victory were Oakley Moore and Samantha Yost. Moore had 13 digs and one assist, while Yost had 13 digs, 12 kills, and two aces. That's the most digs Yost has posted since back in September.

Buffalo's defeat dropped their record down to 6-20. As for Douglas, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 27-7 record this season.

Buffalo has already played their next matchup, a 3-1 loss against Newcastle on the 25th. As for Douglas, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Rawlins on the 31st.
