Baseball Recap: Harper Woods Takes a Loss

Harper Woods was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 14th straight defeat. They lost 15-5 to the Avondale Yellowjackets. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Yellowjackets this season, with their most recent loss being a 13-5 defeat last Thursday.

Harper Woods saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Myron Baylor, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base. That home run marked the first that Baylor has launched this season.

Harper Woods' loss dropped their record down to 4-14. As for Avondale, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 8-14.

Coming up, Harper Woods will challenge Southfield Arts & Tech at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Avondale, they will head out to take on Kettering at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
