Baseball Recap: King's Academy Wins Going Away Against Concord Christian

Fans were treated to a battle of the Lions on Monday. King's Academy were the clear victors by an 11-1 margin over Concord Christian. King's Academy not only won on Monday, but they posted their biggest win since March 29th.

Gensley Ryan was incredible, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-3. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in RBI (three). Another player making a difference was Chelton Jones, who scored two runs while going 2-for-4.

King's Academy was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .438. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Concord Christian only posted a batting average of .176.

The victory made it two in a row for King's Academy and bumps their season record up to 9-13. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.5 runs over those games. As for Concord Christian, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost 16 of their last 17 matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 1-18-4 record this season.

King's Academy will have a chance to go back-to-back against Concord Christian: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
