Baseball Game Preview: Martinsville Bulldogs vs. George Washington Eagles

The Martinsville Bulldogs will take on the George Washington Eagles at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for Martinsville and 22 for George Washington dating back to last season.

Martinsville might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 11-1 to Floyd County, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior.

Meanwhile, Thursday just wasn't the day for George Washington's offense. They lost 15-0 to Magna Vista on Thursday. That's two games in a row now that the Eagles have lost by exactly 15 runs.

George Washington's defeat dropped their record down to 0-18. As for Martinsville, their loss dropped their record down to 2-15.

Martinsville skirted past George Washington 15-14 in their previous meeting two weeks ago. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bulldogs since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
