Softball Recap: Phelps Comes Up Short

Phelps was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 17th straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against the Council Cobras, falling 18-5. One positive for the Hornets, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.

Makylee Sipple was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-2 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI.

Phelps' defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Council, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Looking ahead, Phelps will be playing in front of their home fans against Jenkins at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Council, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 17-2 victory against River View on the 26th.
