Calvary Baptist Academy had already won six in a row and they went ahead and made it seven on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Cross Lanes Christian Warriors. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 two weeks ago.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Calvary Baptist Academy took every set by at least 14 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-5, 25-11, 25-11.

Natalie Whitt paced Calvary Baptist Academy's offense, picking up nine kills. Whitt got some help from Anna Starcher and her 14 assists. Starcher was also solid from the service line: she led the team with 12 aces.

Calvary Baptist Academy's victory bumped their record up to 12-2. As for Cross Lanes Christian, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-5.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Calvary Baptist Academy will head out to challenge Elk Valley Christian at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Cross Lanes Christian, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Grace Christian at 6:00 p.m. on the 30th.
