Recap: Trinity Collegiate Titans vs. Hammond Skyhawks
After a string of four wins, the Trinity Collegiate Titans's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They fell just short of Hammond by a score of 52-50. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat Trinity Collegiate has suffered yet this season.
Trinity Collegiate lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Autumn Kind, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and ten rebounds. Makayla Legette was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with eight rebounds and four steals.
Trinity Collegiate's loss ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 16-4. As for Hammond, they pushed their record up to 9-4 with that win, which was their eighth straight at home.
Trinity Collegiate's road trip will continue as they head out to face Wilson Hall at 6:00 p.m. on January 26th. As for Hammond, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Augusta Christian at 6:15 p.m.
