Belding had lost eight games straight , but after bumping their record up to 2-8 on Tuesday that streak is in the rearview. They were the clear victors by a 15-5 margin over the Kelloggsville Rockets. The high-scoring effort was just what the Black Knights needed considering they were shut out in their previous match.

As for Kelloggsville, they dropped their record down to 0-15 with the defeat, which was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season. On the bright side, the five- run effort marked their highest-scoring contest to date.

For Kelloggsville's part, they saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Albert Santos German, who went 1-for-2 with two runs. Michael Robles also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

Belding will have a chance to go back-to-back against Kelloggsville: the pair will be back at it again later today.
