Softball Recap: Arkport Central Extends Home Winning Streak to Five

Arkport Central put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They came out on top against the Canisteo-Greenwood Chargers by a score of 11-6. That's more bragging rights for the Bluejays, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Arkport Central pushed their record up to 3-0 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 15.6 runs over those games. As for Canisteo-Greenwood, they are on a 13-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Looking ahead, Arkport Central will head out to square off against Fillmore at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Bluejays' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Eagles have averaged an impressive 13.6 runs per game this season.
