Loss or not, Vance County got some senior leadership from Harold Timberlake, IV and Tyshawn Alston. Timberlake, IV dropped a double-double on 18 points and 13 boards, while Alston dropped a double-double on 19 points and ten rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Timberlake, IV has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Kayden Roberts, who posted nine points.

Granville Central's victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 2-7. As for Vance County, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-10.

Granville Central didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, an 80-41 defeat against South Granville on the 9th. As for Vance County, they will venture away from home to square off against Warren County at 7:30 p.m. on January 15th.
