Softball Recap: Wheeler Wildcats vs. Osborne Cardinals

While Wheeler put up plenty of runs on Wednesday, the same can't be said for Osborne. The Wheeler Wildcats blew past the Osborne Cardinals 16-0. Considering the Wildcats have won six matchups by more than seven runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Emily Jansen made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out eight batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and not a single walk). With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 5.1 strikeouts per game. She was also big at the plate, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with three RBI and a double. That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in August.

In other batting news, Wheeler got a massive performance out of Jada Charlton, who scored three runs while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances. Wheeler will have plenty of time to enjoy the win as they don't play again for a while. They'll take on North Paulding at 5:00 p.m. on October 1st.
