Baseball Game Preview: University Prep Pumas vs. Sultan Turks

University Prep is 8-2 against Sultan since March of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The Pumas will welcome the Turks at 7:00 p.m. University Prep is coming into the game hot, having won their last four games.

On Saturday, University Prep was able to grind out a solid win over Vashon Island, taking the game 6-2.

Cole Waterman made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he struck out six batters over five innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off five hits. Those six strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two doubles and one run.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Paddy Sainsbury, who went 2-for-3 with two doubles, one stolen base, and one run. Another player making a difference was Owen Luke, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and two runs.

University Prep was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .400. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

Meanwhile, it was close, but on Tuesday Sultan sidestepped Cascade for a 5-3 victory.

Sultan now has a winning record of 5-4. As for University Prep, their win bumped their record up to 4-2.
