On Thursday, Lawson made easy work of Cane Ridge and carried off a 16-3 victory. That's two games straight that the Lightning have won by exactly 13 runs.
The team relied heavily on Olivia Tant, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. Another player making a difference was Sereniti Leggs, who earned two runs and three stolen bases.
Lawson always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .769. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Cane Ridge only posted an OBP of .500.
Meanwhile, Fairview came up short against Harpeth on Wednesday and fell 8-4. The Yellowjackets have struggled against the Indians recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Cameryn Dunn was cooking despite her team's loss, going 3-for-4 with two doubles, one run, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Maris Warren, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.
Lawson is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten games. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.0 runs over those games. As for Fairview, their loss dropped their record down to 6-15.
