Softball Recap: Frontier Comes Up Short

Frontier lost against Benton Central back in May of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Falcons lost 12-2 to the Bison. The Falcons have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Frontier saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Summer Kremer, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one stolen base and two RBI. Kremer has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times she's played.

Frontier's defeat dropped their record down to 1-15. As for Benton Central, their victory ended an eight-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-19.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Frontier will venture away from home to face off against West Central at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Falcons' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Trojans have averaged an impressive 7.3 runs per game this season. As for Benton Central, they will challenge Pioneer at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
