Recap: Pope John Paul II Eagles vs. Summit Classical Christian School Archers
The Pope John Paul II Eagles's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their ninth straight loss. They were dealt a 76-12 loss at the hands of Summit Classical Christian School. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Pope John Paul II has scored all season.
Summit Classical Christian School was led to victory by Jake Gledhill and Trey Hodo. Gledhill scored 18 points along with two steals, while Hodo scored 19 points along with three steals. Gledhill hasn't dropped below 15points for eight straight games. Will Simon was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with six rebounds.
Pope John Paul II's loss was their fifth straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 1-9. As for Summit Classical Christian School, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-2 record this season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Pope John Paul II will take on Quilcene at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Summit Classical Christian School, they will head out on the road to take on Chief Leschi at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
