Volleyball Recap: Kerry Donahue's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Mount Tabor over R.J. Reynolds

Mount Tabor was the 3-0 winner over R.J. Reynolds when they last played one another on March 4th, but their luck changed this time around. Mount Tabor fell just short of R.J. Reynolds by a score of 3-2 on Tuesday. The Spartans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Mount Tabor took R.J. Reynolds into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking two-point loss. The final score came out to 21-25, 25-23, 25-13, 23-25, 16-14.

Mount Tabor lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Kerry Donahue, who had 25 kills, ten digs, two aces, and one block. Donahue is crushing it when it comes to kills: he's had at least five every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Elijah Lokits, who had 11 digs and four aces.

Mount Tabor's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for R.J. Reynolds, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-3.
